Catalogues and Libraries The Item Centre allows the user to create and administrate dimension indpendent planning and construction items in addition to purchase parts and decorative elements. Furthermore, descriptive texts, pricing information as well as preview pictures can be optionally supplement to each item. |

Article Designer The Article Designer generates a 3D view right at the start of the design process to make things as easy as possible for the user. Carcase parts, front panels and cabinet interiors can be viewed at any time. Zones and individual furniture parts can be copied within the wizard. The user can subdivide furniture dimensions and groupings. The Article Designer also provides fast access to the underlying data so that users can quickly and easily make changes. The tool can be used to create any object which is defined with parameters: carcase furniture, edge solutions, roof extensions, ceilings, wall paneling and much more. |

Object Designer The Object Designer tool is used for all special designs and interior finishing work, and it is layered on top of 2D technology. Either the horizontal or vertical sections can be taken directly from the architect’s drawings, or alternatively AutoCAD 2D functions can be used to create the items in 2D mode. In the next step, the geometry information is gradually filled in with data. Initially the pure 2D section is assembled with components, and the user can define transitions such as mitre joints and bevels. In the further working process contours and geometric elements of the horizontal section are allocated to the components on the vertical section (counter front panel, base, worktops). imos then automatically generates the entire object which the user is designing. Smooth integration from the component drawing and parts list to the CNC program is one of the outstanding features of the system. The designer can change the cross section and horizontal section during any phase of the special design process. The object is completely regenerated “By clicking” and immediately displayed in 3D mode. |

Intelligent Fittings Connectors are stand-alone intelligent objects and can inherit their alterations directly to structural elements. So that these will then be taken into account and transferred to the single parts diagrammes or the CNC processing data. The "Connections" Technology developed by imos and Hettich analyses the connection situation and will suggest the suitable fitting from an installed fitting library. Items which are employed recurrently (favourites) are equivalently distinguished in the selection list. The positioning results from the user settings. |

Graphic Output The created three dimensional designs exist in imos with all design features and construction details. Horizontal and vertical sections with cross-hatching and material references can be generated automatically in preparation for the manufacturing process. Automatically dimensioned element construction plans, conforming to individual criteria, can be created on demand. |

Organiser The Organiser is the central adminstration tool for project information, job data, master data and piece lists, in addition to the processing of manufacturing and job documents. All documents can be freely configurated regarding the information content, order and layout. Construction element and item graphics are integrated automatically. Moreover, the Organizer can be combined with an assortment of add-ons, such as calculation or ERP-connection so that the module becomes an integrative component |
